This page explains both how to successfully carry out the bounty hunting activity, and the effect on the BGS (Background Simulation). Use the tags above to read about related items, together with similar/related functions in-game.

Description/Instructions:

Find Resource Extraction sites, drop into the Nav Beacon, or scan ships from Supercruise to find ships that are WANTED. It does not matter which faction they belong to, as long as they are WANTED. Kill them. You’ll cash in your bounty vouchers in the system owned by the faction for whom you want to boost INF. The minimum transaction value is 150k, and returns are by value to an assumed cap of 4M. So try to claim up to 4M worth of bounties per system per tick.

Notes:

Ideally, do not use a kill warrant scanner unless you take particular care not to claim bounties for factions you are not supporting.

BGS Information:

Functional States: All states including War, but excepting Elections
Target/Source Info: Bounty hunting is an ad hoc activity, and it benefits the faction for whom you hand in the vouchers.
Effect on Player: Increase Combat Rank & REP with the faction controlling the system.
